Investigate the Alien Threat
A distant anomaly, a mysterious crash site, and a spike in reported disappearances. Could this truly be humanity's first contact with extraterrestrial lifeforms? As your field agents investigate sightings and your scientists race to explore new fields of research, you will slowly learn the truth behind the alien arrival.
•From early sightings and UFO crash sites to rampaging alien megafauna and robotic armies, it will rapidly become clear that the other six human factions are not your sole competition. Throughout the game, illustrated events will present you with difficult choices as you investigate growing alien activity on Earth. Uncover the mystery of the aliens’ origins and motives – unless, of course, you are Humanity First, and all that matters to you is extermination.
•Terra Invicta has a global research system that creates opportunities for both competition and cooperation. Shared scientific advancement unlocks private engineering projects. Factions can choose to focus on private projects, at the cost of weakening Earth as a whole and ceding influence over global research direction to other factions with different priorities. Left unchecked, factions like the Servants or the Initiative may steer the world’s efforts toward developing methods of social control, rather than propulsion or weapon systems.

Compete for Control
You begin on Earth as the head of a shadowy organization devoted to your chosen ideology. The aliens are coming – soon – but your first enemies (and perhaps allies) will be other human factions.
•Lead a faction united by ideology, rather than a nation defined by territory. This is a stark change from most strategy games – in Terra Invicta, you will not paint the map with the colors of some chosen nation. Instead you will rule from the shadows and compete with other factions for control points representing a region's military, economic, and political leadership.
•Geopolitics is your sandbox – unite or break apart nations as best serves your ends, while using those under your influence to conduct proxy wars against the other six factions. Earth’s regions are modeled in detail, from educational levels and unrest to GDP and inequality. Gaining command over regions with great monetary wealth and military power can allow you to implement your will on Earth, but the war for the Solar System will not be won without also securing regions containing space launch facilities.
•Enact your will through a council of politicians, scientists, and operatives sent around the world (and even into space). The starting abilities of these councilors will improve through gaining experience and acquiring control over powerful organizations like intelligence agencies or wealthy corporations. A veteran commander may make the perfect choice to lead a tactical team under the council’s direction, while an experienced diplomat works to secure the funding needed to resist the alien invasion.
•Seek out like-minded populations and politicians and take actions to convert followers of opposing ideologies. Public opinion is modeled along multiple axes – the Servants’ alien worship and the Protectorate’s advocacy of negotiated surrender may largely align in terms of support or opposition to the aliens, but events that show the aliens can be defeated have the potential to convince followers of the Protectorate that resistance is a realistic choice.

Expand accross a dynamic Solar System
Terra Invicta bridges the gap between our modern-day world and the vast interstellar empires of other space strategy games, asking you to take humanity’s first steps in colonizing our Solar System, where over 300 asteroids, moons, and planets in constant motion create an ever-changing strategic map.
•Take your faction beyond the confines of Earth, building space stations to act as shipyards and fuel depots, constructing mining stations to acquire advanced resources, and establishing bases to serve as research or construction facilities. Terra Invicta zooms into the strategic geography of the Solar System, presenting space not as a series of isolated stars that you order units to move to and from, but rather a rich and varied landscape of asteroids, moons, dwarf planets, gas giants, and other celestial bodies creating texture and tactical opportunities at every turn.
•The expansive map is constantly shifting as celestial bodies orbit the Sun. This means your space stations and forward operating bases are constantly moving as well, forcing you to plan accordingly and adapt to the evolving circumstances – your colonies among the Jovian moons could find that a once-distant alien military outpost or Initiative privateering base has suddenly become a close neighbor.

Hard Sci-Fi meets Strategy
Terra Invicta explores what might be – how colonies on Mars might function, what plausible engines could power our spaceships, and the nature of how space colonization and warfare might proceed. Players may find themselves establishing a mining base on the asteroid 16 Psyche after noticing it is rich in metals – and then learn that in our world NASA is planning The Psyche Mission for the same reason.
•Exploring and eventually colonizing space will require access to many resources: water for life support and propellant, metals for manufacturing, fissiles for nuclear drives and weapons, and more. At the start, you’ll have no choice but to acquire such resources on Earth and suffer the high cost of using rockets to escape Earth’s gravity, but over time you’ll increasingly choose to instead rely on asteroid mining and other means of securing local supply.
•Spaceship design in Terra Invicta draws from the best of scientific speculation and hard science fiction. You can design your own ships, selecting from an array of weapons, drives, and other modules to place on a variety of hulls, ensuring each ship has the right mix of fuel capacity, maneuverability, and other capabilities.
•Tactical combat is built around a realistic simulation of Newtonian physics, where momentum and maneuver in 3D space are just as important as the firepower your ships carry. Fire missiles and use point defense cannons to destroy incoming projectiles; build up momentum then swing hard to bring the enemy into your firing arcs; or grapple with the difficult decision to retract radiators and sacrifice heat dissipation to achieve better armor against an incoming enemy barrage.

Built for mods
Terra Invicta is built with modding support in mind, and much of the game is accessible to modders without a coding background. We hope that the Solar System setting and geopolitics simulation will provide a useful framework for modders to realize their own creative visions.

Why Early Access?
Terra Invicta is an ambitious grand strategy game that can be improved through a long period of testing, support, and expansion in Early Access. Grand strategy games are complex, and player feedback is essential. We have experience working together with the community from our time creating the Long War mods, and we look forward to improving Terra Invicta together.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
Terra Invicta will be in Early Access for at least several months, but possibly longer depending on how the design develops with player feedback.
How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?
The current build is already the complete game for all 7 factions. The goal of Early Access will be to continue to refine and polish the simulation of geopolitics and Solar System exploration, deepen the strategic experience and strength of the AI, and generally fix issues and bugs. We plan to add some content, but the vast majority of the game is already available.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?
The Early Access version is fully playable and has the gameplay features described on the Steam page. However, there are balance issues – we've provided gameplay tools that are too effective for their cost, or not effective enough. Let us know about them and we'll adjust. There are bugs and probably CTDs out there that we hope to discover with your help. There is still content coming in -- event illustrations and music tracks, in particular. We'd like to add more events and projects, too.
Non-English translations of Terra Invicta are still being tested and improved. The game has a couple novels worth of text, and we know there will be some issues remaining – please be patient with us as we work on fixing problems and increasing translation quality. 
The development team is working hard to implement Steam Workshop and modding options, and they will be arriving very early in the Early Access process.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
The price might increase during or after Early Access as work on supporting and expanding the game continues.

物語は地球上からはじまり、プレイヤーである君は自らが選択したイデオロギーに傾倒する影の組織の指導者となる。エイリアンの襲来は目前に迫っているが、最初に対峙しなければならない敵は（おそらく同盟相手も）他の派閥──つまり、他派閥の人間となるであろう。

Comienzas la partida en la Tierra, al mando de una organización en las sombras entregada a la ideología que has elegido. Los alienígenas están acercándose, pero tus primeros enemigos —y puede que aliados— serán las otras facciones humanas.
• Lidera una facción que está unida por la ideología, en vez de una nación definida por el territorio. En contraste con la mayoría de los juegos de estrategia, en Terra Invicta no pintas el mapa con los colores de una nación, sino que gobiernas desde las sombras y compites con otras facciones por puntos de control que representan el liderazgo político, económico y militar de una región.
• Domina la geopolítica y une o divide naciones según te convenga. Sírvete de los que están bajo tu influencia para desatar guerras subsidiarias contra las otras seis facciones. • Lleva a tu facción más allá de los confines de la Tierra, construye estaciones espaciales que cumplan la función de astilleros y depósitos de combustibles, crea estaciones mineras que extraigan recursos avanzados y funda bases que sirvan para la investigación o la construcción de instalaciones. È stata scoperta una sonda extraterrestre in avvicinamento verso la Terra. Senza che l'umanità ne sapesse niente, una forza aliena è arrivata negli angoli remoti della Fascia di Kuiper e ha iniziato a scavare in un pianeta nano per prepararsi all'invasione.

INDAGA SULLA MINACCIA ALIENA 
Un'anomalia distante, un misterioso luogo dell'incidente e un aumento delle scomparse segnalate. Che sia veramente il primo contatto umano con forme di vita extraterrestri? Mentre i tuoi agenti indagano sugli avvistamenti e gli scienziati si affrettano a esplorare nuovi campi di ricerca, tu scoprirai lentamente la verità dietro l'arrivo alieno. 
• Dai primi avvistamenti e i luoghi dove si sono schiantati gli UFO fino alla megafauna aliena scatenata e agli eserciti robotici, diventerà velocemente chiaro che le altre sei fazioni umane non sono i tuoi unici avversari.  Attraverso il gioco gli eventi illustrati ti presenteranno delle scelte difficili mentre indaghi sulla crescente attività aliena sulla Terra. Scopri i misteri delle origini e delle motivazioni degli alieni. A meno che, ovviamente, tu non faccia parte di Prima l'Umanità e ti importi soltanto dello sterminio.
• Terra Invicta ha un sistema di ricerca globale che crea opportunità per competere e cooperare. Gli avanzamenti scientifici condivisi sbloccano i progetti ingegneristici privati. Le fazioni possono scegliere di concentrarsi sugli obiettivi privati, al costo di indebolire la Terra e cedere l'influenza sulla direzione della ricerca globale alle altre fazioni con priorità diverse. Se non fossero contrastate, le fazioni come i Servitori o l'Iniziativa potrebbero dirottare gli sforzi mondiale attraverso lo sviluppo di metodi per controllare la società, invece di sistemi per la propulsione o per le armi.

COMPETI PER IL CONTROLLO 
Inizi sulla Terra nei panni del leader di un'organizzazione ambigua dedicata alla tua ideologia scelta. Gli alieni stanno arrivando, velocemente, ma i tuoi primi nemici (e forse alleati) saranno le altre fazioni umane.
• Conduci una fazione unita dall'ideologia piuttosto che una nazione definita dal territorio. È un cambiamento netto rispetto a molti giochi di strategia. In Terra Invicta non colorerai la mappa con i colori di una qualche nazione scelta. Dovrai invece governare dalle tenebre e competere con altre fazioni per i punti di controllo che rappresentano l'esercito, l'economia e la guida politica di una regione. 
• La geopolitica è il tuo sandbox: unisci o separa nazioni in base ai tuoi obiettivi mentre usi chi si trova sotto la tua influenza per condurre delle guerre per procura contro le altre sei fazioni. Le regioni della Terra sono modellate in dettaglio, dai livelli educativi e di disordine fino al GDP e all'inequità. Ottenere il comando di regioni con una ricchezza monetaria e un forte esercito ti può permettere di implementare la tua volontà sulla Terra, ma la guerra per il sistema solare non verrà vinta se non controllando anche le regioni che contengono le strutture per far decollare i razzi.
• Metti in atto la tua volontà attraverso un consiglio di politici, scienziati e agenti inviati in tutto il mondo (e anche nello spazio). Le abilità di partenza di questi consiglieri miglioreranno ottenendo esperienza e prendendo il controllo di organizzazioni potenti come le agenzie dei servizi segreti o le aziende più ricche. Un comandante veterano potrebbe prendere la scelta perfetta per condurre una squadra tattica sotto la direzione del consiglio, mentre un diplomatico con esperienza lavora per assicurarsi i fondi necessari a resistere all'invasione aliena.
• Cerca popolazioni e politici con la stessa mentalità e agisci per convertire i seguaci delle ideologie opposte. L'opinione pubblica è modellata tramite vari assi: la venerazione degli alieni dei Servitori e il desiderio di una resa negoziata del Protettorato potranno anche allinearsi in termini di supporto o opposizione agli alieni, ma degli eventi che mostrano che gli alieni non sono invincibili potrebbero convincere i seguaci del Protettorato che la resistenza è una scelta realistica.

ESPANDITI ATTRAVERSO UN SISTEMA SOLARE DINAMICO
Terra Invicta fa da ponte tra il nostro mondo moderno e i vasti imperi interstellari di altri giochi di strategia spaziali, chiedendoti di compiere i primi passi dell'umanità nella colonizzazione del sistema solare, dove più di 300 asteroidi, lune e pianeti in costante movimento creano una mappa strategica in continuo cambiamento.
• Porta la tua fazione oltre i confini della Terra, costruisci stazioni spaziali che fungano da porti o depositi di carburante, erigi stazioni minerarie per ottenere risorse avanzate e stabilisci delle basi che servano come strutture di ricerca o di costruzione. Terra Invicta si concentra sulla geografia strategica del sistema solare, presentando lo spazio non come una serie di stelle isolate da cui o verso cui ordini il movimento delle unità, ma piuttosto come un ambiente ricco e variegato composto da asteroidi, lune, pianeti nani, giganti gassosi e altri corpi celesti che creano una struttura e delle opportunità tattiche a ogni turno.
• L'ampia mappa cambia costantemente con l'orbitare attorno al Sole dei corpi celesti. Questo significa che le tue stazioni spaziali e le basi d'operazione avanzate si muoveranno continuamente, costringendoti a pianificare di conseguenza e adattarti alle circostante in continua evoluzione. LA FANTASCIENZA REALISTICA INCONTRA LA STRATEGIA 
Terra Invicta esplora quello che potrebbe essere il futuro: il funzionamento delle colonie su Marte, quali motori potrebbero plausibilmente alimentare le nostre navi spaziali e la natura di come potrebbero progredire la colonizzazione e la guerra spaziale. I giocatori potrebbero trovarsi a stabilire una base mineraria sull'asteroide 16 Psyche dopo aver notato che è ricco di metalli e scoprire che in realtà la NASA sta progettando The Psyche Missione per lo stesso motivo. 
• Esplorare e infine colonizzare lo spazio richiederà l'accesso a molte risorse: acqua per il supporto vitale e i propellenti, metalli per l'industria manifatturiera, fissili per motori e armi nucleari, e tanto altro. All'inizio non avrai altra scelta se non acquisire queste risorse sulla Terra e soffrire il costo elevato dell'utilizzo dei razzi per sfuggire alla gravità terrestre, ma col tempo sceglierai sempre di più di affidarti all'estrazione di minerali sugli asteroidi e su altri modi di assicurarti le forniture del posto.
• Il design delle navi spaziali di Terra Invicta è ispirato dalle migliori speculazioni scientifiche e dalla fantascienza realistica. Puoi progettare le tue navi, selezionando una serie di armi, motori e altri moduli da posizionare su una gamma di scafi, assicurando che ogni nave abbia il giusto equilibro di serbatoi per il carburante, manovrabilità e altre capacità.
• Il combattimento tattico è costruito attorno alla simulazione realistica della fisica newtoniana, nella quale la quantità di moto e le manovre in uno spazio 3D sono tanto importanti quanto la potenza di fuoco sulla tua nave. Spara missili punta i cannoni difensivi per distruggere i proiettili in arrivo. Aumenta la quantità di moto e vira ampiamente per portare i nemici nel tuo arco di fuoco, oppure sforzati a pensare se sia il caso di ritrarre i radiatori e sacrificare la dissipazione del calore per migliorare la corazza contro una raffica nemica in arrivo.

SVILUPPATO PER LE MOD 
Terra Invicta è stato sviluppato tenendo a mente il supporto alle mod e buona parte del gioco è disponibile a chiunque voglia cimentarsi senza avere conoscenze di programmazione. Speriamo che l'ambientazione del sistema solare e la simulazione geopolitica forniranno un'impalcatura utile che permetta a chi sviluppa mod di realizzare le proprie visioni creative.

Perché l'accesso anticipato?
Terra Invicta è un gioco di gran strategia ambizioso che può essere migliorato in seguito a un lungo periodo di prova, supporto ed espansione in accesso anticipato. I giochi di gran strategia sono complessi e i commenti dei giocatori sono fondamentali. Abbiamo esperienza di collaborazione con la community dai tempi della creazione delle mod di Long War e non vediamo l'ora di migliorare Terra Invicta insieme.

ÉTUDIEZ LA MENACE EXTRATERRESTRE 
Une anomalie lointaine, un vaisseau mystérieux qui s’est écrasé et un pic soudain de disparitions... S’agit-il du premier contact de l’humanité avec des formes de vie extraterrestres ? Tandis que vos agents de terrain enquêteront sur les observations et que vos scientifiques exploreront de nouveaux domaines de recherche, vous découvrirez peu à peu la vérité derrière l’arrivée des extraterrestres. 
• Les premières observations ont mené à la mise au jour de sites de crash, puis à la découverte d’une mégafaune extraterrestre envahissante et d’armées robotiques. Très vite, il devient évident que les six autres factions humaines ne sont pas vos seules adversaires.  Tout au long du jeu, des évènements vous confronteront à des choix difficiles alors que vous enquêtez sur les activités des extraterrestres sur Terre. Découvrez les origines et les intentions des extraterrestres, à moins, bien sûr, que vous n’ayez choisi L’Humanité d’abord et que tout ce qui compte pour vous soit l’extermination.
• Le système de recherches mondiales de Terra Invicta crée des opportunités de concurrence et de coopération. Les progrès scientifiques partagés permettent de débloquer des projets d’ingénierie privés. Les factions peuvent choisir de se concentrer sur des projets privés, au risque de compromettre la Terre. Elles renoncent alors à leur influence sur les recherches mondiales au profit de factions qui ont d’autres priorités. Si on ne les surveille pas, des factions comme les Serviteurs ou l’Initiative peuvent détourner les efforts de recherche pour chercher des méthodes de contrôle social, plutôt que s’employer à chercher des systèmes de propulsion ou d’armement.

RIVALISEZ POUR LE CONTRÔLE 
Vous commencez sur Terre, à la tête d’une organisation obscure consacrée à l’idéologie de votre choix. Les extraterrestres sont sur le point d’arriver, mais vos véritables ennemis (et peut-être vos alliés) seront les autres factions humaines. 
• Dirigez une faction unie derrière une même idéologie, plutôt qu’une nation définie par un territoire. C’est une grosse différence avec la plupart des autres jeux de stratégie. Dans Terra Invicta, ce n’est pas au nom d’une nation que vous partez à la conquête du système solaire. Vous régnerez dans l’ombre et rivaliserez avec d’autres factions pour contrôler les points stratégiques militaires, économiques et politiques de chaque région.
• Jouez dans le bac à sable de la géopolitique. Unissez ou séparez les nations pour servir au mieux vos intérêts, tout en exploitant celles qui sont sous votre influence pour mener des guerres par procuration contre les six autres factions. Les différentes régions de la planète Terre sont modélisées en détail, et les informations comprennent le niveau d’éducation et d’agitation, le PIB et les inégalités. Prendre le contrôle de régions très riches et dotées d’une grande puissance militaire peut vous permettre de faire valoir votre volonté sur Terre, mais vous ne pourrez pas gagner la guerre pour le système solaire sans sécuriser également les régions abritant une base de lancement spatial.
• Faites appliquer vos décisions par un conseil de politiques, de scientifiques et de fonctionnaires envoyés dans le monde entier (et même dans l’espace). Les capacités de départ de ces conseillers s’amélioreront à mesure qu’ils gagneront en expérience et que vous mettrez la main sur des organisations puissantes comme les agences de renseignement et les grosses entreprises. Un commandant vétéran peut être le choix idéal pour diriger une équipe tactique sous la direction du conseil, tandis qu’un diplomate expérimenté œuvrera à obtenir les fonds nécessaires pour résister à l’invasion extraterrestre.

ÉVOLUEZ DANS UN SYSTÈME SOLAIRE DYNAMIQUE 
Terra Invicta fait le lien entre notre monde moderne et les vastes empires interstellaires des autres jeux de stratégie spatiale, en vous demandant de faire les premiers pas de l’humanité dans la colonisation de notre système solaire. Plus de 300 astéroïdes, lunes et planètes en mouvement constituent une carte stratégique en constante évolution.
• Accompagnez votre faction au-delà des frontières terrestres, en construisant des stations spatiales qui serviront de chantiers navals et de dépôts de carburant, des stations minières pour acquérir des ressources avancées et des bases qui accueilleront des installations de recherche ou de construction. Terra Invicta plonge dans la géographie stratégique du système solaire, présentant l’espace non pas comme une série d’étoiles indépendantes vers lesquelles vous ordonnez à des unités de se déplacer, mais plutôt comme un paysage riche et varié constitué d’astéroïdes, de lunes, de planètes naines, de géantes gazeuses et d’autres corps célestes, ce qui crée de la texture et offre des opportunités tactiques.
• Cette vaste carte évolue constamment à mesure que les corps célestes tournent autour du Soleil. Vos stations spatiales et vos bases opérationnelles avancées sont donc elles aussi en perpétuel mouvement, ce qui vous oblige à planifier en conséquence et à vous adapter à l’évolution de la situation. Vos colonies du système jovien pourraient découvrir qu’un avant-poste militaire extraterrestre autrefois éloigné ou qu’une base de corsaires de l’Initiative est soudainement beaucoup trop proche.

LA SCIENCE-FICTION ASSOCIÉE À LA STRATÉGIE 
Terra Invicta est une proposition de ce que pourrait être l’avenir : comment les colonies martiennes pourraient fonctionner, quels moteurs pourraient alimenter nos vaisseaux spatiaux et comment la colonisation de l’espace et les guerres spatiales pourraient se dérouler. Les joueurs pourraient être amenés à établir une base minière sur l’astéroïde (16) Psyché après avoir découvert sa richesse en métaux et découvrir par la suite que, dans notre monde, la NASA prépare la mission Psyché pour la même raison.
• L’exploration et éventuellement la colonisation de l’espace nécessiteront de disposer de grandes quantités de ressources : l’eau pour la vie et le carburant, les métaux pour la fabrication, les isotopes fissiles pour les moteurs et armes nucléaires, etc. Au début, vous devrez acquérir ces ressources sur Terre et payer le coût élevé des fusées pour échapper à la gravité terrestre, mais, au fil du temps, vous pourrez de plus en plus recourir à un approvisionnement local, notamment en exploitant les astéroïdes.
• Les vaisseaux spatiaux de Terra Invicta sont inspirés du meilleur des théories scientifiques et de la science-fiction. Concevez vos propres vaisseaux en choisissant parmi un éventail d’armes, de moteurs et d’autres modules à placer sur une variété de coques, afin que chaque vaisseau ait la bonne combinaison de réserve de carburant, de maniabilité et d’autres capacités.
• Le combat tactique repose sur une simulation réaliste obéissant aux lois de la mécanique newtonienne. Les mouvements et les manœuvres en trois dimensions ont autant d’importance que la puissance de feu de vos vaisseaux. Tirez des missiles et utilisez des canons anti-missiles pour détruire les projectiles. Prenez de la vitesse et tournez rapidement pour placer l’ennemi à portée de tir, ou prenez la décision difficile de rétracter les radiateurs et de sacrifier la dissipation de la chaleur pour améliorer votre blindage face à un barrage de tirs ennemis.

CONÇU POUR LES MODS 
Terra Invicta a été conçu pour permettre les mods, et une grande partie du jeu est accessible aux moddeurs sans compétences spécifiques pour le code. Nous espérons que le contexte du système solaire et la simulation géopolitique permettront aux moddeurs de réaliser leurs propres visions créatives.

Terra Invicta est un jeu de grande stratégie (GSG) ambitieux qui pourra être amélioré grâce à une longue période de tests et de développement en accès anticipé. Nous avons l’habitude de collaborer avec la communauté depuis l’époque où nous avons créé des mods pour Long War et nous avons hâte d’améliorer Terra Invicta avec l’aide des joueurs.

Quel est l’état actuel de la version en accès anticipé ?
La version en accès anticipé est entièrement jouable et possède les caractéristiques de jeu décrites sur la page Steam. Cependant, nous rencontrons des problèmes d’équilibrage. An extraterrestrial probe is detected approaching Earth. Unknown to humanity, an alien force has arrived in the far reaches of the icy Kuiper Belt and has begun mining a dwarf planet to prepare for an invasion.

With Earth’s nations unable to unite to address the alien arrival, transnational groups of like-minded political, military, and scientific leaders develop covert channels to coordinate a response. With the aliens' motives uncertain, factions emerge, driven by hope, fear, or greed.

Investigate the Alien Threat
A distant anomaly, a mysterious crash site, and a spike in reported disappearances. Could this truly be humanity's first contact with extraterrestrial lifeforms? As your field agents investigate sightings and your scientists race to explore new fields of research, you will slowly learn the truth behind the alien arrival.
•From early sightings and UFO crash sites to rampaging alien megafauna and robotic armies, it will rapidly become clear that the other six human factions are not your sole competition. Throughout the game, illustrated events will present you with difficult choices as you investigate growing alien activity on Earth. Uncover the mystery of the aliens’ origins and motives – unless, of course, you are Humanity First, and all that matters to you is extermination.
•Terra Invicta has a global research system that creates opportunities for both competition and cooperation. Shared scientific advancement unlocks private engineering projects. Factions can choose to focus on private projects, at the cost of weakening Earth as a whole and ceding influence over global research direction to other factions with different priorities. Left unchecked, factions like the Servants or the Initiative may steer the world’s efforts toward developing methods of social control, rather than propulsion or weapon systems.

Compete for Control
You begin on Earth as the head of a shadowy organization devoted to your chosen ideology. The aliens are coming – soon – but your first enemies (and perhaps allies) will be other human factions.
•Lead a faction united by ideology, rather than a nation defined by territory. This is a stark change from most strategy games – in Terra Invicta, you will not paint the map with the colors of some chosen nation. Instead you will rule from the shadows and compete with other factions for control points representing a region's military, economic, and political leadership.
•Geopolitics is your sandbox – unite or break apart nations as best serves your ends, while using those under your influence to conduct proxy wars against the other six factions. Earth’s regions are modeled in detail, from educational levels and unrest to GDP and inequality. Gaining command over regions with great monetary wealth and military power can allow you to implement your will on Earth, but the war for the Solar System will not be won without also securing regions containing space launch facilities.
•Enact your will through a council of politicians, scientists, and operatives sent around the world (and even into space). The starting abilities of these councilors will improve through gaining experience and acquiring control over powerful organizations like intelligence agencies or wealthy corporations. A veteran commander may make the perfect choice to lead a tactical team under the council’s direction, while an experienced diplomat works to secure the funding needed to resist the alien invasion.
•Seek out like-minded populations and politicians and take actions to convert followers of opposing ideologies. Public opinion is modeled along multiple axes – the Servants’ alien worship and the Protectorate’s advocacy of negotiated surrender may largely align in terms of support or opposition to the aliens, but events that show the aliens can be defeated have the potential to convince followers of the Protectorate that resistance is a realistic choice.

Expand accross a dynamic Solar System
Terra Invicta bridges the gap between our modern-day world and the vast interstellar empires of other space strategy games, asking you to take humanity’s first steps in colonizing our Solar System, where over 300 asteroids, moons, and planets in constant motion create an ever-changing strategic map.
•Take your faction beyond the confines of Earth, building space stations to act as shipyards and fuel depots, constructing mining stations to acquire advanced resources, and establishing bases to serve as research or construction facilities. Terra Invicta zooms into the strategic geography of the Solar System, presenting space not as a series of isolated stars that you order units to move to and from, but rather a rich and varied landscape of asteroids, moons, dwarf planets, gas giants, and other celestial bodies creating texture and tactical opportunities at every turn.
•The expansive map is constantly shifting as celestial bodies orbit the Sun. This means your space stations and forward operating bases are constantly moving as well, forcing you to plan accordingly and adapt to the evolving circumstances – your colonies among the Jovian moons could find that a once-distant alien military outpost or Initiative privateering base has suddenly become a close neighbor.

Hard Sci-Fi meets Strategy
Terra Invicta explores what might be – how colonies on Mars might function, what plausible engines could power our spaceships, and the nature of how space colonization and warfare might proceed. Players may find themselves establishing a mining base on the asteroid 16 Psyche after noticing it is rich in metals – and then learn that in our world NASA is planning The Psyche Mission for the same reason.
•Exploring and eventually colonizing space will require access to many resources: water for life support and propellant, metals for manufacturing, fissiles for nuclear drives and weapons, and more. At the start, you’ll have no choice but to acquire such resources on Earth and suffer the high cost of using rockets to escape Earth’s gravity, but over time you’ll increasingly choose to instead rely on asteroid mining and other means of securing local supply.
•Spaceship design in Terra Invicta draws from the best of scientific speculation and hard science fiction. You can design your own ships, selecting from an array of weapons, drives, and other modules to place on a variety of hulls, ensuring each ship has the right mix of fuel capacity, maneuverability, and other capabilities.
•Tactical combat is built around a realistic simulation of Newtonian physics, where momentum and maneuver in 3D space are just as important as the firepower your ships carry. Fire missiles and use point defense cannons to destroy incoming projectiles; build up momentum then swing hard to bring the enemy into your firing arcs; or grapple with the difficult decision to retract radiators and sacrifice heat dissipation to achieve better armor against an incoming enemy barrage.

Built for mods
Terra Invicta is built with modding support in mind, and much of the game is accessible to modders without a coding background. We hope that the Solar System setting and geopolitics simulation will provide a useful framework for modders to realize their own creative visions.

Why Early Access?
Terra Invicta is an ambitious grand strategy game that can be improved through a long period of testing, support, and expansion in Early Access. Grand strategy games are complex, and player feedback is essential. We have experience working together with the community from our time creating the Long War mods, and we look forward to improving Terra Invicta together.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
Terra Invicta will be in Early Access for at least several months, but possibly longer depending on how the design develops with player feedback.
How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?
The current build is already the complete game for all 7 factions. The goal of Early Access will be to continue to refine and polish the simulation of geopolitics and Solar System exploration, deepen the strategic experience and strength of the AI, and generally fix issues and bugs. We plan to add some content, but the vast majority of the game is already available.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?
The Early Access version is fully playable and has the gameplay features described on the Steam page. However, there are balance issues – we've provided gameplay tools that are too effective for their cost, or not effective enough. Let us know about them and we'll adjust. There are bugs and probably CTDs out there that we hope to discover with your help. There is still content coming in -- event illustrations and music tracks, in particular. We'd like to add more events and projects, too.
Non-English translations of Terra Invicta are still being tested and improved. The game has a couple novels worth of text, and we know there will be some issues remaining – please be patient with us as we work on fixing problems and increasing translation quality. 
The development team is working hard to implement Steam Workshop and modding options, and they will be arriving very early in the Early Access process.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
The price might increase during or after Early Access as work on supporting and expanding the game continues.

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?
We will monitor our Discord and the Steam forums for player feedback and suggestions. We appreciate all ideas, bug reports, and player experiences, and we look forward to making Terra Invicta a better game together.
