Les personnages oubliés de l'univers Disney se sont installés à Wasteland, une sorte de monde parallèle de Disneyland. Jusqu'au jour où le Savant Fou fit son apparition... Dès lors, les ballons éclatèrent et les bricoles cliquetantes cessèrent de cliqueter. Puis un jour, après avoir provoqué toute cette panique, le Savant Fou a assuré qu'il avait changé. Il prétend désormais vouloir aider les toons à réparer les conséquences de ses actions passées et à ramener à Wasteland la joie d'autrefois. Accompagné d'Oswald le lapin chanceux, Mickey décide d'enquêter sur les raisons de ce changement d'attitude, dans cette aventure qui va rendre vie à Wasteland et le sauver d'un nouveau péril.

Längst vergessene Disney-Figuren haben sich in Wasteland - einer seltsamen Version von Disneyland - ein neues Zuhause gesucht. Wasteland war ein Ort der Zufriedenheit, voller Ballons, kunterbunter Häuser und rasselnder Maschinen, an dem die Zeichentrickfiguren sorgenfrei und glücklich lebten. Zumindest bis der Mad Doctor auftauchte. Die Ballons zerplatzten, das Rasseln der Maschinen verstummte. Erdbeben erschütterten die kunterbunten Häuser und verschreckten die Zeichentrickfiguren. 

Aber nachdem er all das Unheil angerichtet hatte, behauptet der Mad Doctor nun, er habe sich geändert. Er wolle den Zeichentrickfiguren dabei helfen, alles wieder gut zu machen und den Spaß nach Wasteland zurückbringen. Zusammen mit Oswald dem lustigen Hasen entscheidet sich Micky, der Veränderung auf den Zahn zu fühlen und sich auf ein Abenteuer zu begeben, um das Leben in Wasteland wieder lebenswert zu machen und es vor einer neuen Gefahr zu retten.
